No Autumn For Lankan Rupee

Tuesday, 17th January 2017

Meanwhile, former world number one sprinter Lankan Rupee (Redoute's Choice-Estelle Collection, by Stravinsky) will miss the autumn as he continues to recuperate from a minor suspensory injury suffered in the spring, reports Racing.com. "He found himself a new injury with a suspensory but I want him for the spring so he's probably going to have a longer spell," Price said. "I might put him into work somewhere, but after he does his three or four months rehabilitation, we'll crank him up and have him ready for the spring." The 5-time Gr1 winner was last seen in action running a creditable fourth behind Malaguerra in the Gr1 Darley Classic in November.
