Peacock To Resume In Australia Stakes
Meanwhile, Chetwood's promising year younger stable-mate Peacock (Lonhro-Iridescente, by Commands) will also use the Gr2 Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley (Friday, 27 February) to open his autumn campaign. Peacock, who hails from the same family as Chetwood being out of a three-quarter sister to Gr1 South African Derby winner Wylie Hall and a half-sister to champion Hong Kong sprinter Absolute Champion, has won 2 of his 6 starts including a last-start success in the Listed Gothic Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield. "Peacock is a colt we've always had time for and he showed in the spring that he is up to this level," trainer John O'Shea said.
