While his favoured son Broadside was disappointing at Royal Randwick yesterday, for White Robe Lodge's regally bred stallion Raise The Flag (Sadler's Wells-Hasili, by Kahyasi) it was a different story at Flemington in Melbourne when he sired the quinella in the $150,000 Listed Bagot Handicap (2800m). Off the back of 5 wins from her 7 starts, 5YO mare Etah james (Raise The Flag-Etah, by Danasinga) made a dash for home straightening up, but it was her year younger paternal half-sister Parthesia (Raise The Flag-Notable, by Danzighill) who cruised from the back of the field to record a superb win for trainer Darren Weir. A $20,000 yearling consigned by White Robe Lodge and bought by bloodstock agent John Foote and Weir at NZB's 2015 South Island Yearling and Mixed Sale, Parthesia's record now reads 3 wins (including the Listed Tasmanian Oaks) & 5 placings (including the Gr2 South Australian Fillies Classic, Listed VRC St Leger and Listed Galilee Series Final) from 21 starts for $264,800 earnings.
