Seabrook On Slipper Path?

Tuesday, 20th February 2018

Smart Melbourne filly Seabrook is likely to be rerouted to the Golden Slipper with a start in Saturday's Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes looking increasingly unlikely for the Mick Price trainee. Seabrook, who arguably should have won the Gr2 Blue Diamond Prelude for fillies (1100m) last start after being denied a clear passage in the straight and placing third, is currently 34th in the order of entry for the $1.5 million juvenile feature. The final field is limited to 16 starters with 4 emergencies. Trainer Mick Price told racing.com yesterday that if the daughter of Hinchinbrook failed to gain a start she would be aimed at next month's Gr1 Golden Slipper in Sydney. Final acceptances for the Blue Diamond Stakes close today.
