Man Booker Overcomes Injury

Friday, 13th July 2018

Talented West Australian galloper Man Booker has recovered from a mystery hoof injury and is thriving as he prepares for the Ascot carnival later in the year, reports the West Australian. Trainer Dan Morton said the multiple stakes winner would be aimed at the $1 million Group 1 Railway Stakes (1600m) in November. "The vets couldn't find out exactly what his problem was last spring, but we just put him aside for six months to get over it," said Morton. "He's tracking along well. He's about two-thirds of the way through this prep. We've just got him on a slow build given he had a fair amount of time off." Morton added: "He's at least a month off being ready to race, but we'll probably put him aside again and then get ready for the carnival."
