  • Large Berkeley Classic Draft One of Its Best

    Monday, 1st February 2021

Berkeley Park Stud boasts the likes of Chautauqua, Extreme Choice, and Scales of Justice among brilliant racehorses reared on their beautiful farm. The rolling hills, river flats, and fertile grazing country, when combined with years of equine experience, result in a property renowned for its ability to produce world class Thoroughbreds. Their Inglis Classic Yearling Sale draft of 2021 is one of the biggest they've offered at auction with eleven quality yearlings by a range of sires. One of the picks on paper is Lot 56, a Deep Field filly out of Listed winner Isabella Snowflake (Not a Single Doubt), while proven sire Dundeel has Lot 307, a colt out of Listed winner Shaqira (Redoute's Choice) from a strong European family. Not many Lonhro yearlings end up at auction, and Lot 129 is an opportunity to buy into a colt from the Bonanova family. Meanwhile, Gr1 Sires Produce Stakes hero and freshman yearling sire Invader has two yearlings in the Berkeley Park draft; Lot 367, a filly who is the first foal of stakes placed winner Tears in Heaven, and Lot 678, a colt who is the first foal of tough city winning racemare Natural Dancer. A half-sister to Listed winner In Good Time, Lot 397, is by Divine Prophet, while fellow second season sire Flying Artie has Lot 248, a colt out of Listed winner Princess Marizza (Scenic). Also in this draft are yearlings by Churchill (Lot 779), Pariah (Lot 745), Pride of Dubai (Lot 57), and Vancouver (Lot 298). It's a draft that pretty deep and which will understandably attract plenty of attention. Click here for the full Berkeley Park line-up.
