4 UK Tatts Mares Head To Glenlogan
Among the European breeding stock purchased by Scone-based Tasman Bloodstock agent Keiran Moore at the record-breaking UK Tattersall's Sale were 4 broodmares heading to Queensland's Glenlogan Park Stud. They include 2 young Sadler's Wells mares who have not been to stud: Madam Speaker (a 3/4 sister to Gr1 winner & successful Australian sire Scenic); & Donatella (from Irish River mare Aim For The Top, a stakes-winner in England & Italy). Another mare Nevis Peak is an Australian-bred daughter of Danehill from Fairy King mare Prawn Cocktail (a half-sister to both dual-hemisphere sire Royal Academy & the dam of the world's highest service fee sire Storm Cat); Nevis Peak (a sister to Group-placed Assafa) is due to produce a foal in February by Hawk Wing. The 4th mare is Japanese-bred Ghost Story (a 2003 foal by Dance In The Dark, whose son Delta Blues won last month's Gr1 Melbourne Cup); Ghost Story's dam Pazienza is half-sister by Blushing Groom's juvenile champion Arazi to shuttle sire Cape Cross.
