Unbeaten at his first two juvenile starts at Listed and Gr.3 level, the former Chris Waller-trained Performer, a stunning chestnut becomes the first son of Champion Sire Exceed And Excel to stand at Aquis Farm.

A winner on debut in the time-honoured Listed ATC Breeders’ Plate (1000m) at Royal Randwick, Santos was the first horse to break the 57 second barrier, winning in a time quicker than Capitalist, Vancouver, Snitzel, Charge Forward and Choisir.

Santos went on to win the Gr.3 ATC Canonbury Stakes at his second race start, emulating the feats of previous winners including Pariah, Vancouver, Hinchinbrook, Sebring and Not A Single Doubt.

As a half-brother to Gr.1 Galaxy Handicap winner Bel Sprinter, the $450,000 Magic Millions yearling sale graduate is bred on the successful Danehill x Snippets cross that has produced eight individual Gr.1 winners including the Gr.1 producing stallions Snitzel, Hinchinbrook and Magnus.
