The wait is just about over for Perth trainer Simon Miller with his exciting filly Amelia's Jewel set to launch her Pinnacles campaign at Ascot in a fortnight, reports rwwa.com.au. The spotlight will shine on Amelia's Jewel (Siyouni-Bumbasina, by Canford Cliffs), who is considered one of Australia's hottest prospects after her sensational exploits as a juvenile last season. In an unbeaten campaign that captured national attention, Amelia's Jewel won the Supremacy Stakes (1000m), the Gimcrack Stakes (1100m) and Karrakatta Plate (1200m) with ease. She had her second trial hit out at Belmont on Monday with Miller declaring she is ready to be a force again as a 3YO. "The difference between this prep and her last is I haven't placed any pressure on her. She's got a long campaign ahead of her and I'm happy to send her to the races," said Miller. Amelia's Jewel was among entries that closed yesterday (Monday) for the Placid Ark Stakes (1200m), the WA Guineas (1600m), the Winterbottom Stakes (1200m), Northerly Stakes (1800m) and The Goldrush (1400m). Miller indicated the Gr1 Northerly Stakes was Amelia's Jewel's primary target this time in.
