Boutique property Fernrigg Farm, vendor of boom Hong Kong Derby prospect Beauty Eternal, has quickly built a reputation for producing well presented yearlings, stemming from their love of horses and racing. With their biggest ever draft for the 2023 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, buyers have plenty of opportunity to find the next star. Fernrigg Farm's draft of twelve yearlings is dominated by Australia's best stallions with yearlings by I Am Invincible, Fastnet Rock, Lonhro, So You Think, Pierro, Zoustar, Dundeel, Deep Field, and Capitalist. I Am Invincible colts are highly sought after, and Lot 50 is the second foal of dual Gr3 winner Prom Queen, who won nine races, with five of them coming in her 2YO season. Proven sire Dundeel, currently in a purple patch of form is sire of a colt, Lot 767, out of a winning half-sister to Gr1 winner Arapaho Miss (dam of Gr1 winner Miami Bound). Stakes placed 2YO, and winner of three races, Rule The World's half-sister, Lot 38, is a So You Think filly, and this is the family of multiple Gr1 winner Criterion. The first foal of group placed winner Connemara is Lot 340, a colt by Pierro, and his dam is a half-sister to Listed winner Tawteen and Well Sprung. Capitalist filly, Lot 512, should run early as she is out of 2YO winner and Gr2 Silver Shadow Stakes placed Kimberley Star.
