  • WA’s Rosalee Park to Stand Super One

    Thursday, 16th May 2024

Roselee Park in Serpentine, 55km south-east of Perth, has announced that Super One, sire of Champion WA 2YO Super Smink, has joined its 2024 roster. As the sole son of Champion Australian sire I Am Invincible available to local breeders, he will be offered at an introductory fee of $8,800 (including GST). Super One left in Perth last year, particularly through his exceptional filly Super Smink, who secured a triumphant victory in the RL Magic Millions Classic (1200m), Gr2 Karrakatta Plate (1200m), and Gr3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m), setting records along the way. Owned by Wayne and Tracy Rodwell, Roselee Park will stand Super One (I Am Invincible) alongside King’s Troop (Redoute’s Choice) and the NZ-bred Super Easy (Darci Brahma). Tracy Rodwell, expressing her enthusiasm, remarked, “He's a relatively young stallion at 11 years old, and Super Smink's success underscores his ability to sire top-class performers. He embodies elegance and imparts it to his progeny, who exhibit correctness, grace, and delightful temperaments.” While Super Smink was dominating the Perth juvenile scene, his progeny on the east coast were also putting up quality peformances. They include $1 million earner Another One who triumphed in the LR National Sprint in Canberra. Notable among his black-type performers are the Victorian-based horses Embeller and Alpha One. Super One's arrival in WA coincides with a remarkable winning streak, with seven individual winners in the first ten days of May. His 3YO filly, Super Zippi, set the tone with a spectacular front-running performance in the Hyland Race Colours Maiden (1100m) at Canterbury last Wednesday. The Rodwells are standing Super One in partnership with distinguished Hong Kong owner Denys Cheng and All Winners Thoroughbreds.
