In the year of the Barbie movie, the Mitchell family's Yarraman Park Stud, managed by Matt Scown, started 2024 by selling an I Am Invincible filly from Outback Barbie for $1.2 million. Less than a year later, Hi Barbie won the Listed Phelan Ready Stakes on debut and is rightly one of the favourites for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic. In that same draft was fellow pre-Christmas juvenile, stakes-placed Point Barrow. Other recent Gold Coast graduates from Yarraman Park Stud are Godfather, Madeira Sunrise, Nettuno, and Hell Have No Fury. Led by Champion Sire I Am Invincible who has 14 of the 35 lots in their 2025 draft, Yarraman Park Stud's resident sires Hellbent and Brave Smash are represented by six and one yearling respectively in this draft. Among the 'Vinnies' on offer in this draft are the full brother to Hi Barbie – Lot 755 – out of Outback Barbie, winner of four Listed races, and a full sister to Listed winner Barbie's Sister, and this colt's first, second, third, and fourth dams are all stakes winners. Gr1 MRC Thousand Guineas winner Odeum's first foal, Lot 741, is a colt, and Odeum is a half-sister to Listed winner Goodfella from the family of wonderful South Australian sprinter Gytrash. Lot 115 is a full-brother to Yarraman Park Stud graduate dual Gr3 winner California Zimbol who earned over $560,000, and two other stakes winners. Lot 263 is the second foal, a filly, of Listed Chequerboard from the Plans Awry family. A full sister to Gr2 winner and sire Strasbourg is Lot 306, while Lot 398 is a half-sister to Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Shaquero. A full-sister to Gr3 winner Quantico – see below – is Lot 486 out of a winner of three Listed races and the Wyong 2YO Classic. Lot 814 is the second foal, a filly, from American juvenile stakes winner Quality Response. Among the six yearlings by Hellbent is Lot 411 a daughter of Gr3 winner Flying Jess who also won the Listed Magic Millions Guineas and over $1.4 million. Lot 782 is a half-sister to Invincible Shield who won four in succession this year, and her second dam is dual Listed winner Upon This Rock from the family of Criterion, Bittercreek and Charm Stone. Other sires represented in the Yarraman Park Stud draft are Alabama Express, Capitalist, Farnan, Home Affairs, Pinatubo, Snitzel, St Mark's Basilica, Stay Inside, Too Darn Hot and Wootton Bassett.
