Darley has unveiled its 2025 southern hemisphere stallion roster, showcasing a powerful blend of proven stars and exciting newcomers. With 14 sires in total, including two first-season stallions, this line-up reinforces Darley’s commitment to breeders seeking elite bloodlines, commercial appeal, and performance on the track. Featuring Champion Two- and Three-Year-Olds, World Champion Sprinters, and influential sire lines, the roster underlines the depth and diversity of the Darley brand. Returning down under, Too Darn Hot tops the list, standing at $275,000, after cementing his status as the most successful young stallion of the century. His four-time Group 1-winning son Broadsiding joins the roster at $66,000, having captured major honours at two and three. A Champion Juvenile and dual Gr1-winning three-year-old, Broadsiding is considered his sire’s standout performer to date. Fellow headline act Anamoe, the nine-time Group 1 winner and Horse of the Year, commands a fee of $110,000. Having already served outstanding initial books of mares, including 19 Group 1 winners and the dams of 18 more, plus 82 Group winners and 127 Stakes winners, his first crop of weanlings has generated strong market chatter across the Hunter Valley. The ever-reliable Street Cry line is well represented again. Street Boss holds firm at $66,000, following another excellent season, highlighted by Gr2 Percy Sykes Stakes winner Tempted. His talented sprinting son Traffic Warden, a dual Group 2 winner and narrowly beaten in the Gr1 Sires’ Produce and Gr1 Golden Rose, enters the stallion barn at $22,000. Leading third-crop sire Harry Angel continues his prolific stallion career at $66,000. A World Champion Sprinter and mainstay in the top 10 of the General Sires’ list, he remains one of the most sought-after young stallions in the country. Bivouac ($55,000) and Cylinder ($44,000) lead the Exceed And Excel legacy, the latter having blitzed and elite field in his Gr1 Newmarket win. Stallions from the Shamardal and I Am Invincible lines continue to impress. Pinatubo ($38,500) saw his first yearlings sell for up to $700,000, while half-brother Victor Ludorum ($11,000) brings dual Group 1 form at two and three. Brazen Beau ($33,000) added Gr1 Thousand Guineas winner Another Prophet to his tally, joining last season’s Gr1 Galaxy winner Zapateo. Native Trail ($27,500) brings European flair as an unbeaten Champion Two-Year-Old. Paulele has had his fee reduced to $11,000, while Kermadec ($13,750) continues to punch well above his weight with a strike rate of Group 1 winners that eclipses many higher-priced rivals. “This is an outstanding group of stallions – a world-class line-up,” said Head of Stallions Alastair Pulford. “The results they’ve achieved this year, both in the yearling market and on the racetrack, have been incredibly encouraging. These fees reflect the success we've seen and have been set with breeders firmly in mind.” Darley’s full line-up by state is below:
